It goes without saying that we all want our kids in functional clothes that keep them comfortable and healthy. Now more than ever, parents are mindful that these aspects of kidswear are a priority. However, this renewed attention to practical clothing does not mean that we have to sacrifice on design.
We want our children to feel their best so they can have fun feeling good about themselves. I never get tired of those big, cheeky grins on a child feeling herself in a BLAZE hoodie. The hood pops up, the hands slip into the pockets, she strikes a pose, and it’s all worth it.
As a mom, it gives me confidence to see my children headed back to school during the winter months, knowing that their clothes will see them through the day. They’ll be warm. They’ll sit comfortably in class. They’ll play hard in the field. They’ll BLAZE their trail. That’s what being a kid is all about.
The only thing better than fabulous tops and bottoms are quality pieces that can mix-and-match with ease. As parents, we face challenges daily. Dressing doesn’t have to be one of them.
More and more, we’re learning that simplifying our lives and our wardrobes is the best way to create a satisfying, uncluttered home. The trend is spreading to kidswear as well. We’ve embraced a capsule wardrobe as a pillar of our design aesthetic. All of our tops, bottoms, and outerwear are interchangeable.
Being a child is about discovery and self-expression. I’m happy to see that more retailers are steering clear of prescribed gender-identifying clothing. Gender neutral clothing for children is just one way we can encourage our kids to explore the way they see themselves and the way they want to share themselves with the world.
Since the 60’s, denim has captured our imaginations. We all have a favorite pair of jeans or a fabulous denim jacket that we love. The reason this material has made its way into all of our closets for over 60 years is because it is stylish and practical.
As hard as kids are on their clothes, denim is the perfect solution. If anything, working and playing hard on quality denim gives those pieces a patina that only makes them more endearing.
It’s for this reason that BLAZE is announcing a new denim line! Stay tuned as we roll out some fabulous denim pieces in our kidswear collection.
